Born and raised in Sydney, Dr Matthew Lam moved to Queensland to study medicine at Griffith University, before completing his internship at Gold Coast University Hospital. He subsequently returned to Sydney, working across St George Hospital and Sutherland Hospital, including a year as a Critical Care Resident, before commencing GP training.
Having completed his GP training in South Eastern NSW and obtained fellowship, Matthew is excited to bring his broad hospital and primary care experience to the local community.
His clinical interests include lifestyle medicine, musculoskeletal and sports & exercise medicine, men’s health, child and young person’s health, and the assessment and management of urgent/emergency presentations in primary care. He has also applied to be a continuation prescriber for ADHD medicines.
Outside of medicine, Matthew enjoys keeping up with the NBA and F1, attending church, and working on improving his own overall fitness.
